The Six Healing Sounds are known in Chinese as Liu Zi Jue. As one of the Heath Qigong exercises, it focuses on balancing the energy and strengthening the functions of the inner organs (liver, heart, spleen, lungs, and kidneys) by inhalation and especially exhalation with six different sounds.

The breathing technique is manifested not only by its healing sounds but also its mindful and graceful movement. It is easy to learn and gentle enough to be practiced by people of any age and any health condition. Studies have shown that regularly practicing the Six Healing Sounds helps to rebalance emotion, reduce stress, prevent illness, and prolong life span.

Sherry Zhang was an associate researcher in Chinese Wu Shu Research Institute, certified Tai Chi and Health Qigong instructor by China Wu Shu Association; now is a faculty member at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, teaching Tai Chi and Health Qigong. She is also has regular Tai Chi Classes at BambooMoves Forest Hills.
